Prudential Tower
2008
Shooting into the sky is The Prudential Tower, the second tallest skyscraper in Boston, MA. Upon its completion in 1964, The New York Times called it "the showcase of the New Boston [representing] the agony and the ecstasy of a city striving to rise above the sordidness of its recent past." The statue in front of The Prudential Tower was sculpted by Donald DeLue in 1967. Titled "Quest Eternal," the inscription describes the statue as "a traditional classic form depicting man reaching for the heavens."
